Vital Link Trail

With an inspired name and inspiring view, Vital Link Trail is one of the best hikes in the Verdugo Mountains near Burbank. This out-and-back trail is steep; it delivers a good workout too, ascending 1,275 feet in a mile and a half, with opportunities to hike even farther.
The Vital Link Trail begins in Wildwood Canyon just north-east of Burbank and immediately climbs higher and higher to the radio tower, it’s a challenging hike depending on your level of fitness.
