1Penwood State Park
Located on Talcott Mountain north of Hartford, Penwood State Park is 787-acres public recreation area overlooking the Connecticut River Valley and offering heavily wooded beauty with scenic views.
The park is managed by the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection. Concerning trails, we can cite the Yellow Trail: Well-marked and wooded path that sends you north of the Talcott Mountain.
